Cissy Doll Shoe Makeover

I have these 2 pair of shoes to fit my Cissy doll.
Compared to Cissy's beautiful clothes, they're kind of blah.

On eBay I  saw these made by:
They have all different colors and styles.

SO, I decided to try to make some myself.
I cut off the straps on my shoes.

I laid the shoe on some paper to
make a pattern.

 Checking the fit.

I cut out some felt with my pattern.

The felt protects Cissy's stockings from snags.
I added a decorative strap and hot-glued it underneath.

White mules.

Black strappy.

Oh, and I also made a couple handbags.

This black envelope bag.

And this pink clutch.

I'm going to try this with my bride doll's shoes since one has a broken strap. This is a much more pleasing solution than my hot glue idea. The purses are adorable.

Fawn you should definitely try this! It was so easy and SUCH an improvement. The white shoes used to have hte back strap but they were broken so I cut them both off. Then I saw this idea and decided I can do this. I am very happy with the results.

Such great ideas. I need shoes for a much larger unmarked fashion doll. This gives me some great ideas to make her some by tracing her feet. I have made flat footed doll shoes this way, I don't know why I didn't for high heeled feet. You just have to shape and allow room for the arches. Thank you. I love reading your blog.

Thank you Georgee,
If you are talking about the doll size I think you are talking about, you could use cardboard for the sole. Cut a small dowl to the height for the heel and sharpen with a pencil sharpner. Paint the heel with nail polish in the color of your strap. I hope you comeup with some cute heels for your doll.
I am so pleased you enjoy my blog.
