Lissy and Betsy slept well, but I was hoping 

Molly would sew a couple 

simple things for Lissy, but she is at her 

friend's this week.

You know I can sew too Cissy!

Marylou you are a wonder!

I made the same A-line knit in red as well.

I love it Marylou, just prefect.

This will be perfect for Spring.

 The Savage Pea has a new addition to our family.

She is a Madame Alexander Amy doll from 

the "Little Women" series.

She is a 12" Lissy doll.

She comes from my friend Janet P who also sent

along a little wardrobe as well.

Here They Are!

We'll start with the dresses you've already seen.

This little yellow polka dot I actually

made for my 9" Patsyette dolls

but it looked SO cute on Lissy, 

I added a ruffle so Lissy could wear it.

This pink knit A-line is made from

an upcycled tee shirt.

I crocheted this sweater so she could

wear her dress for cooler weather.

This red A-line knit dress was also made from

an upcycled tee-shirt.

I crocheted this sweater for Betsy, but

Betsy was happy to share with Lissy.

NEXT 

These are the outfits Janet 

sent along with Lissy.

First is this MOST adorable

play suit sewn by Janet.

Janet made the bib removable and also

sent this handknit and embroidered sweater!!

How adorable is that?

I paired the play suit with a blouse and stockings

so Lissy can use this outfit in cooler weather too.

Janet also sent along this little swingy dress.

SO ADORABLE!!

I found these little slippers

in a drawer that didn't fit any of my dolls

 before Lissy. Aren't they perfect?

And, of course Lissy's  "Amy" outfit 

from the "Little Women" series.

Boy doll Wardrobe Additions

I have three guy dolls in my 10" 

fashion doll collection.

Twin brothers, Chris and John are both 

Uneeda Bob dolls.

And Thomas is a Vogue Jeff doll.

With the Holiday season approaching

all three of my guys needed 

formal attire.

Last year the twins both looked quite dapper

for the Christmas Ball.

BUT, with the  advent of our lovely Lauren,

Thomas will need a formal suit as well.

SO,  I started an online search....

I found these clothes labeled as Vogue Jeff.

The jacket and PJs fit, but the 

slacks were from a Ken doll.

Then...

I found these two Uneeda Bob dolls.

AS you can see, they both have shoes and the

Bob on the left has a full outfit!

Then...

I found this listing of vintage Ken doll clothes.

I have found that with a little adjustment

the vintage Ken clothes work for the

Uneeda Bob dolls.

The two Bob dolls arrived first, so I 

started trimming off long strings...

And using FRAY CHECK on the rough edges.

Then everything got a good ironing.

Next were the Ken doll clothes. 

Ken slacks are too long!

So I cut and hemmed the pants.

I also did the pair of black tuxedo pants.

This little flannel jacket needed the

 buttons moved.  Oddly two or three

items needed the buttons moved.

Hmmm?

As you can see these 1970s slacks

AND...

This navy sport coat were much too large.

But, you know how I like a challenge.

I removed the sleeve buttons so I could 

shorten the sleeves.

I removed the pockets so I could slim the sides.

The slacks were hemmed and...

I brought in the inseam.

This sweater and jacket were fine, so they just got 

a wash along with everything else.

This blue lounge suit is one of my favorites.

The white shoes make me think of Pat Boone!

This 1970s suit is SO Groovy!

Here is the navy jacket mixed 

with the grey flannel slacks and

an ascot, of course.

This is the white wool jacket paired with

 the hemmed Ken tuxedo pants.

Here is the flannel jacket and slacks.

A nice casual look.

This sweater is paired with some 

corduroy pants the guys already had.

With the addition of an extra shirt, 

jacket and slacks, all three of my 

guys now have a formal suit to wear.

Not to mention several 

additional casual looks!
