Hello Kitty Room

My last blog post was a doll room update.
As part of that, I showed the whole dollhouse.

The room on the bottom right is the last to get a makeover.

It is the room shared by Julie and Grace.
They just could not decide what they wanted.

Suddenly it occurred to them,
they could have a Hello Kitty themed room!

This year marks the 50th anniversary
of Hello Kitty.  Many special
release Hello Kitty's have come
out this year. My daughter has
 this plushie and...

This Build a Bear plushie and
several others marking this
50th anniversary.

To create a Hello Kitty room,
I took everything out and painted their
dresser white.  I added some pink ric-rac.

My DH helped me install a shelf along the back wall.
Hello Kitty enthusiasts love to decorate
with pink lace, so the shelf has a lace front.

Their bed stayed the same.

I added a pink bow to their mirror.

I found this cute My Melody snow-globe.
(My Melody is one of Hello Kitty's many friends)

And added a tiny Hello Kitty to the lamp.

They got a pink fluffy carpet and I found this,
(so cute!) My Melody back Pack.
Inside was a notebook, pen, stickers
and a storage tube thingy.

I added this Hello Kitty chair, BUT...

It used to look like this.  I covered the leopard print
with a pink and purple fabric. It's just tacked on,
so no permanent damage! And added
the Hello Kitty pillow.

And VOILA!

The Hello Kitty pillow and slippers came
with the PJ outfit on the left.
I found both outfits at Walmart.

I added this OG iPad and another
Hello Kitty notebook.

Then I gathered all the tiny size Hello Kitty characters
my daughter had stashed in a drawer to fill the shelf.

I also gathered all these mini posters.
They will go all over the walls.

I added a yellow crochet throw on the bed.

I gathered these three Kitty's to add to the bed.
I wanted to keep their original quilt, so
these Kittys work with the quilt colors.

And some comfy slippers!

SO CUTE!

Here is the whole room!

Grace and Julie love their new Hello Kitty room.

Check out their Hello Kitty outfits!
So cute!

    1. Hi Anna,
Thank you. I do like Hello Kitty. I actually had some Hello Kitty items when I was a girl! I only took items that were put away in a drawer, so she didn't care if I used them. These are her dolls so she liked my idea.
      Hugs
