Well, this year my DH and I got the flu for Christmas!
But, now that I am better I wanted to share some of my
Doll Christmas gifts!
I don't usually do a lot with the
American Girls on here, but I
just have to share these new outfits.
My daughter, Sophie, started all this dollness
when she was 8 and got her first AG doll.
Sophie is now 20 and collects Hello Kitty.
This is the 50th anniversary of Hello Kitty.
I couldn't resist these Hello Kitty outfits.
These two outfits are for both of us.
This is Grace, she is Sophie's first AG doll.
She is wearing the Hello Kitty PJs.
Look at those cute slippers!
Emma is my AG doll. Sophie decided I
needed a doll too so we could play.
This school outfit is so adorable!
Very sweet!!
My next Christmas gift was from my DH.
I have wanted an antique toy sewing machine for ages.
We found this one together in an antique shop.
So cute and it still works!
My big Doll Christmas gift was this lady.
Do you recognize her?
She is a Madame Alexander Elise
ballerina doll.
Her delivery was delayed, so I didn't get her
until after the New Year.
These ballerina dresses are difficult
to restore. The spangles are falling off!
Even a gentle wash takes off the gold finish.
I will set it aside.
She was pretty clean, except her arms.
I started with Dawn dish soap and a little scrub.
So dirty, but not the worst I've seen.
Her face is perfect! Lots of color.
Her hairnet was tattered and these
bobby pins are corroded with old
hairspray.
I was not sure about her hair, but
it was dusty and crunchy.
I decided to wash it.
I gave her a quick wash to loosen the
old hairspray.
Here she is in borrowed PJs. Her hair
is now clean and combed through.
I put her hair in a ponytail and arranged
her curls with bobby pins.
I have plans to make her some
dresses, but I am too tired still.
So! she borrowed a dress from
Miss Revlon for now.
HERE
SHE
IS!
