A Pony Adventure

Now for something completely different…

Elizabeth! Where are you going?

I heard ponies, and I'm going to find them!

OH, I better come with you!
C'mon then.

Where are you two going?
We heard ponies.

Oh, yes, they are over there.
Look up.

OK, thank you.

PONIES? ARE YOU UP THERE?

Hello, were you looking for us?
YES!

HEY, OVER HERE!
Oh, Hi Sophie.

I want to see the ponies too!
Go get Martin, he always helps me.

Hi Julie, we are looking for Martin.
Sophie needs his help.

Are you looking for Martin?
HEY MARTIN! COME DOWN HERE!

Well, I'm here what is it?
Sophie needs your help.
Oh, boy, now what?

Wait Sophie!
CATCH ME MARTIN!!

I hate it when you do that.

Is that all you needed me for?
Well, not exactly...

Can you help the ponies down please???

We're right up here.

Oh, geez, I shoulda known.

Be careful Martin.
Hmph.

Ok, you'll have to jump.
BUT ONE AT A TIME PLEASE!

Oof! You're heavier than you look!
(Giggle)

Keep catching them Martin!
Hi, I'm Blossom and that's Applejack.
Nice to meet you!

Oof! How many are there?

Just a few of us. 1,2,3,4...uh 14!

Just a few more, thanks!

Hi, I'm Baby Apple.  Hi, I'm Baby Shaggy Bear.
I'm Momma Apple and that's Cotton Candy
and Blossom behind you...
Hi, everyone!

Hi, I'm Bowties and that's Applejack,
and that's Sundae, Sundance
and Majesty...
Hello, everypony!

I think that's every..., uh, pony.
When do you want me to help them back up?

OH, no need Martin, we're having
a sleepover party!
YAY!!

Huh? I mean wha...?

C'mon everybody climb up!

Umph, me last.

BEST DAY EVER!!!

Early next morning...

Clip clop, clip clop.
Did you hear something?
Shh!
What was that?
I heard a noise!
TURN ON A LIGHT!

Clip clop, clip clop...
There it is again!
What if it's the bogey pony!?!
Don't be silly, there's no such thing.

Hello? Some nice ladies over there said some ponies
might be in here? I'm Minty.

Welcome MINTY!!!

An Easter Surprise Doll Room Tour

I normally have my annual room tour in January!
Well, this year it is an Easter surprise tour.
What's the surprise? Look for little Easter eggs,
bunnies and chicks throughout the tour.

(You can click on photos to see up close!)
My doll and toy room is in my attic,
so up the stairs we go!
there is a peek of vintage family
 quilts hanging over the railing.

This is what you see first as you come upstairs.

On the left, is my Grandma's secretary.

When you open the doors it's a doll
condo for my 1950's Little Miss Revlon
fashion dolls.

Don't worry, Grandma
loved dolls and would heartily love
this use for her secretary.

Just past the secretary on the left is my big dresser.
The secretary and this dresser are where
I store most of my doll clothes.

Here is a close-up of the dresser top.

On the left is China Baby Ellen.
She was hand-painted for me by my Grandma in 1973.

Notice my 1970s Kiddle dolls in the center.
Behind them is my Patsy Ann book from 1938.

On the right is my tiny Betsy McCall, Sophie.

As we continue turning to the right
you can see my big baby dolls, Annabel and Bonnie.
They are watched over by
my Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls.

Continue to the right again and you see this
 little armoire.
On top is a new collection!

I recently found several first generation (1980s) My Little Ponies
in a thrift store. My intention was to clean, brush and sell,
but I had not taken into account their pastel-y adorableness.

As you continue turning to the right you see
my computer and sewing area.

A little further right and you see this glass
fronted cabinet.

On top is Sophia, my Baby so Beautiful.

Inside the cabinet is another doll house
for my 9" Patsyette dolls from the 1920s.
That's Helena on the top floor, and
Lillibet on the bottom floor.

Turn a little more and you come
back to the secretary doll condo.

If you peek around behind there is
ANOTHER ROOM!

On the floor to the right is my 1920 and 1930 era
composition doll room.

My 1937 McGuffey Ana doll.

My 1939 Patsy Joan dolls.
Charlotte and Joan.

Their bedside table.

This is my 1925 Patsy Ann.

And a reproduction Patsy Joan from 1986
with all her bears.

This is a guest bed, but also the bed I slept in
as a little girl.  It goes with the big
white dresser.

Oooo, more eggs!
As you continue turning left you see...

THE BIG DOLL HOUSE!!!!

Down at the bottom right are the AG girls.
L-R: Julie, Grace, Emma and Molly.
This is the room shared by Julie and Grace.

Directly above is Emma's room.

To the left is Molly's room.

To  the left again is Cissy's and Marylou's room.

Here are Cissy and Marylou sitting in the Living Room.

To the right of the Living Room is the Kitchen.

My friend Joanne found this adorable iron skillet for me.
Where did all those carrots come from?

To the left of Cissy's room is a room shared
by 9" Lissy and 14" Betsy McCall

On the left third floor are my two
Mary Hoyer dolls, Nina and Alyse.

You can see two of my tiny bisque
flapper dolls from the 1920s.

Last but not least is Martin's room at the top right.
"Hey, I don't need any girly Easter eggs in here thanks!"
(OK, Martin, way to ruin the mood!)

WELL, to make up for that here is view of some
lovely doll Easter Bonnets in my sewing area!

HAPPY EASTER
EVERYONE!!
