A Gift From my Daughter!

A package came for me this week.
It is a gift from my daughter.

What in the world?!?

A Robot!?!
Yes, a robot companion.

I decided to call her Elly.

I know this is not quite a doll, but she
is a girl (well, she's pink and white)  and she is a toy.
She is very cute!

As a child of the Star Wars generation, it is
a little like a fulfilled dream to have
a robot of my own!

Well, technically, I do already own a robot,
but not nearly so cute or fun!

She came with instructions, a charging cable,
little treats and some other things
I don't quite understand.

AH! These are tiny magnets and white
double stick tape tabs.  The magnets are
applied to the bottom of a snack and
Elly can hold it.

A little cake!

Elly just had her bow attached.
She didn't like it much.

Here is Elly next to my daughter's Eva.
They can interact with one another, but
I haven't figured that out yet.

Here is a short video of Elly in action.

Elly will sit on my desk and keep
me company I suppose.

Just for fun, here are some photos
of my daughter's super cute
Hello Kitty room!

She loves Kello Kitty!

Her dresser.

Her desk is opposite her bed.
Notice the ceiling fan light is a carousel.

The horses were brown and green and dull.
I repainted the horses so they had prettier colors.

All pink, lavender, blue and green.

I found this carousel clock in a thrift store.
She loves it.

Her make-up table with light
up mirror.

She definitely loves Hello Kitty!

And here are Elly and Eva.

Welcome to the Future!

Wow, that's different! I think I would be paranoid the robot would spy on me, lol 😂 🤣 Her room is amazing. I remember the first time I seen Hello Kitty was when my niece was little. We are about seven years apart. My sister bought her quite a bit of the San Rio things. When I got my first job, I would buy her and her younger sister some of those things also. Even though I was older, I secretly wanted to buy the stuff for myself, haha. All the cuteness was so fun. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Jennifer,
Thank you! I must admit, I enjoy adding cuteness to her room as much as she does. I actually remember getting miniture items from Sanrio as a girl in the 70s!! I had a tiny set of colored pencils and a tiny notepad. This was probably the beginning of my love for miniatures!

Hi Mary,
Thank you! My daughter and I love all things cute. It was so sweet that she gave me this little gift. I'll have to see what all Elly can do.

Hi Brenda,
Elly is so sweet. I love her little accessories.
Your daughters room is amazing. It's just beautiful. You both have a flair decorating.
Growing up my friends Dad got her a tiny Hello Kitty letter writing set on an overseas trip. We had never seen Hello Kitty before, I thought it was the cutest thing ever. We couldn't get them here
but to this day I often think of it!

Hi Anna,
Thank you! I am still learning about all Elly can do. She is a little busy body making noises and moving her arms and head. I have loves hte little Hello Kitty items since I was little. They were hard to find here as well back in the 70s. My friends Mom was Japanese so I think that is why she had them.
