I found this ad online. I was really interested
in the green and white dress in front.
I washed and pressed the dress.
It is a sheer fabric with lots of body.
I added the white ribbon sash.
Very pretty Cissy!
BUT WAIT!
Imagine my excitement when I tried this second dress on Cissy.
I already had this bandeau hat - perfect!
You can maybe see that the yellow bric-a-brac
has silver threads in it. This dress is SO adorable!
This little blue dress came with the 2 dresses above.
This dress is very sweet.
Looks like a school dress.
I love the big bow in back.
This wool coat is from another lot of doll clothes.
It fits Shirley perfectly!
Here is the lot the coat came from.
Notice the sailor top and capris?
Here they are!
Very cute!
This sadly wrinkled dress looks like this now...
Can you believe it?
I never expected this dress to look so adorable!
I saved this dress makeover for last.
It was very plain and too big for Elise.
I did a bit of fitting in the bodice and added some lace.
AND HERE IT IS!
Some scalloped lace added a bit of length.
This dress came out better than expected.
I thought she needed a wrap though...
Better.
Very pretty.
I love makeovers!

It's so inspiring and fun to see what you've done with these fabulous finds! Your dolls are so very, very pretty in the newer finds. Thank you for sharing them with us.
Lovely outfits.
Marilyn
I love those dresses on Cissy.
Joan
I love that blue outfit on Cissy. The flower band is just the right touch.
Marion
Thanks Rebecca! I love playing with these dresses. I was SO astonished that there were TWO dresses that fit Cissy - such a great find.
Thank you Marilyn, I agree. I have had such great luck lately!
Thanks Joan - ME TOO!! I love Cissy's new dresses. I can't decide which one I like best.
Thanks Marion, I do too. I actually made that bandeau to sell, but no one bought it! Can you believe how perfect the color is?
I love your makeovers! To take something dingy and wrinkled and make it look brand new, or better than brand new is a gift. Your pressing skills are impressive!
Merry Christmas!
Fawn
Thank you Fawn! I have this tiny ironing board that my husband made for me. It is small enough to iron out all those tiny sleeves and bodices. You know how I love makeovers!
Merry Christmas!
