Hello Lissy

Hello Lissy, welcome to your new home.
I am Cissy, I am the big sister around here.
But, I think you should meet
someone closer to your age.

BETSY?
Coming Cissy!...

What if she doesn't like to play with me?

Hello Lissy, I'm Betsy.  Would you like
to have a tea party?
Yes, please!

Would you like some more sugar Ma'am?
Oh, yes please and some more cake!
Hehehee!

Bedtime girls!
OK!

Let's read Miss Suzy, it's my favorite.

"Every morning Miss Suzy made
herself a bowl of acorn pudding..."

"...They chased her out of her little house.
They broke her broom and threw out her acorn cups."

Those bad squirrels are SO mean!
Just wait, the little toy soldiers save the day.
reading, reading, reading...

Miss Suzy was overjoyed when she heard
she could move back into the tall oak tree.
YAWNNN.....

Next morning....

Good morning girls, did you fall asleep
reading Miss Suzy?

Yes, I think we did!
Hehe!

Lissy and Betsy slept well, but I was hoping
Molly would sew a couple
simple things for Lissy, but she is at her
friend's this week.

You know I can sew too Cissy!

Oh would you?

Whir, whir, whir whir...

Look at me Cissy!

You look lovely Lissy!
Marylou you are a wonder!

I made the same A-line knit in red as well.

I love it Marylou, just prefect.

This will be perfect for Spring.

I love my new dresses!
Thank you Marylou!

The Savage Pea has a new addition to our family.

She is a Madame Alexander Amy doll from
the "Little Women" series.
She is a 12" Lissy doll.

She comes from my friend Janet P who also sent
along a little wardrobe as well.

Want to see her outfits?

Here They Are!

We'll start with the dresses you've already seen.
This little yellow polka dot I actually
made for my 9" Patsyette dolls
but it looked SO cute on Lissy,
I added a ruffle so Lissy could wear it.

This pink knit A-line is made from
an upcycled tee shirt.

I crocheted this sweater so she could
wear her dress for cooler weather.

This red A-line knit dress was also made from
an upcycled tee-shirt.

I crocheted this sweater for Betsy, but
Betsy was happy to share with Lissy.

NEXT

These are the outfits Janet
sent along with Lissy.

First is this MOST adorable
play suit sewn by Janet.

Janet made the bib removable and also
sent this handknit and embroidered sweater!!
How adorable is that?

I paired the play suit with a blouse and stockings
so Lissy can use this outfit in cooler weather too.

Janet also sent along this little swingy dress.
SO ADORABLE!!
I found these little slippers
in a drawer that didn't fit any of my dolls
 before Lissy. Aren't they perfect?

And, of course Lissy's  "Amy" outfit
from the "Little Women" series.

Welcome to the Savage Pea Lissy!

Hi Brenda,
I am so happy to see how well Lissy settled in. She is going to love it there with you - so many new items in her wardrobe !

I am particularly impressed with the T-shirt dress=ees - how clever and resourceful you are!

Hi Janet,
Thank you! I am an old hand at up cycling my kids outgrown clothes into doll items. I must admit I am happy with these little dresses. The nice thing about using knits is that the fabric doesn’t ravel much.
