A Winter Skating Adventure!

Oh look! Big Bear Mtn. is covered in snow!
It's time to plan a skating trip!

OK girls, I think we have everything.
WAIT! Lauren where are your skates?
Oops, be right back!

OK, the car is packed, the trailer is hitched.
Let's go girls!!

Ooo, it's snowing!
Be careful Julia! It might be icy.

Don't worry girls, I'm an excellent driver!
We are nearly there.

Ok, the camper is all set up!
I'm so glad we are here!

Let's skate!

This little pond is a perfect spot.
It's already frozen solid.

Oof! I'm out of practice.
Let me help you up.

Watch this!
(twirl, twirl, twirl)

Look at this!
(twirl, twirl, LEAP!)

I think I'll just stay safe on the ground.

This is the best trip ever!!

Uh oh, it's getting dark.
And COLD!

C'mon Lauren, let's get warm.
No, I want to skate until the moon comes out!

Brrr, I am ready to get cozy and warm!
Me too, Lauren must be freezing!

There's the moon

So beautiful, now I'm
ready to get warm!

Good night Amanda,
goodnight Julia,
goodnight Lauren.

What an adorable story!!! The costumes are so pretty, and all the settings are amazing. You really outdid yourself this time! Love it all.

NoT only do your girls look adorable in their skating outfits, the camper looks qRM and cozy. I love the plaid blankets - I seem to remember the camper having more 'girly" colors when it was new.

Seeing this story gives me a push to get my dolls ready for Winter holidays. You are an inspiration!

Those outfits are beautiful. I love all the pretty pastels choice. My favorite color is blue but I love them all.

Thank you Janet!
I knew the girls would want some warm blankets for the snowy weather. I also wanted to add some Christmasy touches. I had so much fun with this post. You’ll see the blanket fabric in my next post made into a winter dress.

Thank you Marion,
I am happy with how these little came out. I was inspired by my Mary Hoyer skating outfits. I just start crocheting and they came out cute, if I do say so myself!

Hi Brenda,
your story and pictures are lovely. The girls dresses and matching skates
look so pretty. I love the Christmas caravan.
I think you are so clever with the things you create.
We are in the summer heat at the moment so it is hard to imagine snow elsewhere!

I doesn't happen as often as I'd like, but it's always so much fun to come visit your blog, Brenda... your creativity, your presentation, and your story-telling is so wonderful! This skating adventure is really lovely - the soft pastel color palette, and the lighting, and all the special touches and details are amazing. I love being transported into your tiny wonderland!

Thank you Anna,
That’s right New Zealand is opposite us in terms of seasons. Seems strange doesn’t it? Today is 43 degrees F and we are in Southern California! I’m so glad you enjoyed the post even though cool temperatures are far away from you at the moment!

Thank you Susan,
I am really pleased you enjoyed this little adventure. I had so much fun with my photo editing program creating a winter wonderland. I like little details like the license plate “LMR 123” standing for Little Miss Revlon and 3 girls. I’m so silly that way. I’m so glad you came by!
