John: "Finally! I have you all to myself!"
Julia: "What can you mean John?"
John: Well, since we were married, you have been so busy
with the move and spending time with Laura
and Amanda and Viola. Then we decided to move too!
I feel like I hardly have any time alone with you!
Julia: "Oh John, I had no idea you felt that way!"
Julia: "What beautiful scenery!"
Julia: "Those clouds look a little stormy."
John: "I checked the forecast. We should
have perfect camping weather!"
John: "Here we are, Fish Lake!"
Julia: "Oh John, this is a perfect spot!"
John: "Hey, let's head to the lodge for lunch!"
John: I read that this lodge was built in 1917.
Julia: It's so rustic!"
Julia: "what a beautiful fireplace. It's getting
chilly, I wish there was a fire."
"Oh, look at this dining room!
Julia: "What a beautiful view."
John: "Hey, let's rent a boat after lunch?"
Julia: "Oh, that sounds like fun!"
John: "What a beautiful lake."
John: "The waiter said the boat rentals are this way."
John: Here it is Julia, this way!"
John: "Yes sir, that blue row boat will be perfect!"
John: "Just look at that Julia!"
Julia: "It's truly lovely. I'm so glad we came here."
John: "We're ready for a cozy campfire!"
Julia: "I'll be there in a minute John."
Julia: "This is So cozy, but does it feel cooler to you?"
John: "It is a bit cooler, but that's just cause
the sun went down."
Julia: "I'm cold honey, I'm going inside for a cocoa."
John: "OK, I'll stay here by the fire for awhile longer."
Julia: "John, I found the wool blanket! I think
we might need it, it's getting very cold!"
AN HOUR LATER...
John: "You look cozy. Is there room for one more?"
Julia: "Of course John, cocoa?"
John: "Sure, that sounds perfect!"
Julia: "John! Look, it's snowing! You said
you checked the forecast?"
John: "I did, I was hoping this would happen,
but the clouds cleared up this afternoon!"
Julia: "John, you wanted it to snow?"
John: "Sure, what could be better than getting
snowed in with you?"
NEXT MORNING
Julia: John! I wish I knew what you were
planning, I would have brought some boots!
My feet are SO cold."
John: I guess it was a good thing I bought these.
Julia: Oh John! You thought of everything!
But, how did you...
John: Lauren helped me pick them out.
Julia: "Oh John, you're the best husband
a girl ever had!"
Julia: "Your roll."
John: "OK, I need sixes and a full house..."
Julia: Maybe after this game we can play pinocle?"
John: "Sure, sounds great!"
BOOT TUTORIAL
While creating this post I couldn't stop
thinking how COLD Julia's feet would
have been in her open heels.
SO, here is my solution to cold feet.
Measure some craft felt 2 3/4 by 2 inches.
Cut out 2.
Fold over and zig-zag closed.
Put over foot until sole is
showing at the bottom.
Fold in the front like this and use
embroidery thread to create
laces. Start at the top and stitch to
the bottom then back to the top.
Draw around the sole after lacing and cut out.
Dip the bottom edge of the boot in tacky glue,
then set it on the bottom sole you cut out.
Trim around the bottom to finish!
Warm boots!
Merry Christmas Everyone!!

I loved this story, Brenda! You're just SO creative (and productive!). Your idea for the boots is brilliant... the laces look wonderful! (I might have to try this for ice skates, at some point...) Thank you for sharing with all of us!

I thought I had left a comment when I visited the other day, but I guess I must've failed to enter it... I just wanted to say how much I loved your story and your very cleverly edited photos. You are SO creative, and very talented. Those boots are just fabulous - your idea for creating lace-ups is really inventive... I'll think maybe I should try that with ice skates! Thank you for sharing with all of us. Happy New Year to you!

Hi Susan,
Thank you! I enjoy creating these little stories with the LMR dolls. I could not stop thinking how cold her feet must have been in those open toes shoes. I didn't show it, but the back of the boot has a half circle sewn to create a heel. These would make great skates! I didn't think of that.
You are SO welcome!
